We return to Jells Park in 2024. Jells Park will play host to the All Schools Cross Country Relays. The course provides fantastic cross country running with excellent vantage points for schools and spectators to support. The Jells relays are a great day and we encourage all schools to bring branded marquees, flags, banners and plenty of noise!
2025 Victorian All School Cross Country Championships
Bundoora Park hosts 2025 Victorian AlL Schools Cross Country Championships. This bumper day of cross country racing also incorporates round six of the XCR Series for U20 and Open athletes.
2025 On XCR: Round 1 – Hanging Rock 8km
The 2025 Heritage Round sees the return to the awe-inspiring Hanging Rock. Hanging Rock recreation reserve offers athletes a challenging course in a ruggedly beautiful setting. This event is an excellent opportunity for clubs to showcase their history, and we encourage athletes to do so again in 2025.
2025 On XCR: Round 2 – St Anne’s Myrniong 12km
With sweeping landscapes and beautiful scenery, St Anne’s Myrniong promises to offer participants the opportunity to play their part in the club relay, followed by a well-deserved aperitif by enjoying the best of the venue’s local produce afterwards.
2025 On XCR: Round 3 – Jells Park Relays
Teams will take to Jells Park for the first Relay of the On XCR Season.
Please Note: Athletes do not enter themselves into relay competitions. Clubs will enter and pay for team entries and select the athletes for their teams. Any questions regarding team selection should be made directly to your club.
2025 On XCR: Round 4 – Lakeside:5
In the picturesque inner-city Albert Park precinct, the Lakeside:5 includes one lap – out and back from Lakeside Stadium to Junction Oval on Lakeside Drive. You’ll then finish inside Melbourne’s premier Athletics arena, Lakeside Stadium! The Lakeside:5 is the perfect opportunity for you to hit that 5km goal, run a quick time or simply enjoy the lake’s picturesque surroundings.
2025 On XCR: Round 6 – Ballarat State XCR Championships
Bundoora Park hosts the selection trials for the Australian Cross Country Championships. This bumper day of cross country racing also incorporates the Victorian All Schools Cross Country Championships. The open and overage men’s and women’s race covers 10km of the grueling slopes of Bundoora Park.

Welcome to what could be Australia’s flattest 10km road race, the Lakeside:10. In the picturesque inner-city Albert Park precinct, the Lakeside:10 includes two laps out and back from Lakeside Stadium to Junction Oval on Lakeside Drive. You’ll then finish inside Melbourne’s premier Athletics arena, Lakeside Stadium! The Lakeside:10 is the perfect opportunity for you to hit that 10km goal, run a quick time or simply enjoy the lake’s picturesque surroundings.
2025 On XCR: Round 8 – Ballarat 15km
The traditional stomping ground of XCR legend Steve Moneghetti, Lake Wendouree, provides the backdrop for this fast-paced event, with Open completing 6km or 15km courses and Juniors 6km. After the race, stay on and enjoy the best that Ballarat and the surrounding Goldfields offer, including the Eureka Centre, Sovereign Hill, the Gold Museum and the Botanical Gardens.
2025 On XCR: Round 9 – Burnley Half Marathon
A level course along the banks of the Yarra River, the Burnley 5km and Half Marathon is the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself and aim for a personal best or tune-up for a big spring and summer of fitness.
