Due to the ongoing COVID-19 response, the 2021 Victorian All Schools Track Relay Championships and 2021 Victorian Schools NITRO Challenge have been postponed.
Scheduled to be held at Lakeside Stadium on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 16th September, respectively, the events are to be rescheduled at a date to be confirmed.
With the updated government information released on 1st September, we will look to hold these events when advised it is safe to do so by the DHHS.
We understand that this news will come as a disappointment to many; however, the safety of the greater community is our number one priority.
General Manager for Sport Delivery, Ross Cunningham, thanked the various schools, students, and parents for their continued support.
“It’s always disappointing to have to postpone events, but we are determined to, when safe, have the 2021 Victorian All Schools Track Relay Championships and Victorian Schools NITRO Challenge back at Lakeside Stadium. It’s one of the calendar’s highlights for schools, and to avoid students missing two years of competition, we will do all we can to bring them the events once advised safe to do so. I can’t thank the school community enough for the support they continue to show athletics.”
Further information regarding the Victorian All Schools Track & Field Championships, scheduled on Friday 22 – Saturday 23rd and Friday 29th – Saturday 30th October, will be provided at a later date.
Athletics Victoria will advise of rescheduled dates for the Victorian All Schools Track Relay Championships and the Victorian Schools NITRO Challenge when advised.
