All competitors will recieve 3 jumps in competition, only the top 8 competitors after 3 rounds will recieve an additional 3 attempts. The remainder of the field will conclude their series.

High Jump:

Starting Heights for Women’s High Jump is set at 1.42m
Starting Height for Men’s High Jump is set at 1.77m

To ensure both a quality competition and an optimum length of competition can be achieved.

Wind Direction:

AV Staff and Competition Management will always check weather and wind direction to give athletes the best opportunity to run with tail winds. The decision needs to be made 2 hours before the first scheduled event, to allocate time for set up and testing. At times, this adds an element of technical difficulties and delays associated with running in the opposite direction to stadium set-up. We kindly ask all athletes, coaches & parents to be respectful and patient of our officials as they manage this set up.

Winds are predicted to be ESE shifting to S (+3.5 to +4.5 m/s), which would suggest 100m races be run on the back straight.

Marshalling:

All athletes are required to marshal for their event 10 minutes before scheduled start time.

Athletes who have a clash due to another field event or track event are to make officials aware in line with the above information.

Bibs:

All registered AV athletes will be required to wear their 2023/24 season bibs. Invitational Athletes who do not have current AV bibs will be able to collect a temporary set at administration are located in the grandstand (admin delegate).

Non-Members are required to pick up their bib from the administration area in the grandstand (admin delegate).
