High Velocity Club

April 4 @ 12:17 pm

Welcome to HVC in 2024/25

After the success of the 2023/24 HVC season, where we saw state and national records, a bevy of Australian representative athletes, interstate visitors, and PBs aplenty, we are excited to return to the series in 2024/25.

Following your feedback, this year will also include more 100m opportunities an relays opportunity. Further information on this can be found later on this page.

As was the case last year, entries for all HVC events will be taken through the Athletics Victoria Members Portal.

All HVC meets will be granted National Permit Meet (NPM) status unless otherwise stated.

Please note: World Athletics is currently reviewing requirements for an international permit meets – AV will update HVC athletes regarding any changes to requirements or permit status due to updates provided by World Athletics.

Event Pricing

  • Individual Event (Member): $15.00
  • Individual Event (Non-Member): $15.00
  • Relay (Athlete Members Only): $25.00

Click here to become an AV member today.

Remember that you must complete your entry and make a payment to enter. You will also receive a confirmation email. If you have any issues, please ensure you contact Athletics Victoria BEFORE the closing date; this can be done by emailing sportdelivery@athsvic.org.au.

Best of luck for the season!

*A & B Races only – Shoe requirements for U20 and Open required for these two races

As per previous years, each of the long and triple jumps will have restricted fields, with the top eight male and female applicants accepted into the final field. All jumps sheets will be graded and may be run as mixed events.

World Athletics Permit Meets

HVC meets listed with the World Athletics Permit logo above will be ratified by World Athletics and Athletics Australia, in the listed races/field sheets only. Athletes competing in these races/field sheets can qualify for international and national competition, accumulate World Athletics ranking points, break Athletics Victoria and Athletics Australian records, and have their performances added to World Athletics top lists. These will be ratified as ‘F’ Permit Meets.

All other events will be ratified as a State permit, allowing athletes to qualify for the National Championships.

SHOE DECLARATION – National Permit Meets

As HVC meets are National Permit meets, ALL ATHLETES COMPETING IN THE A & B RACE are expected to complete an AV online Shoe Declaration Form before their first HVC meet.

Any State Record, National Record or International qualifying performance will not be ratified without athletes wearing shoes that meet the World Athletics Shoe Rules. Athletes competing in the A & B Race MUST wear shoes that comply with the World Athletics Shoe Rules.

Athletes are to wear shoes that comply with the World Athletics Shoe Rule. For a current list of compliant shoes, please view the latest list: https://certcheck.worldathletics.org/FullList

All Athletes, inclusive of Para athletes, attempting a State Record, National Record, or International qualifier MUST wear shoes that meet World Athletics Shoe Rules. Athletes may be subjected to a shoe check at the conclusion of their event.

You can complete a shoe declaration prior to the meet via the online form HERE!

HVC Relays and Team Submission

Season 2024/25 will see the 2x100m relay opportunity continue, tying into Athletics Victoria’s development program. For this event, teams will not need to be club based; grab a friend and go!

  • To be eligible to compete in a relay, you and your teammate must both be athlete members of Athletics Victoria and have entered a 2x100m HVC relay event via the members portal – you only need one entry per team.
  • Next up is letting us know who will be running, and in what order. This can be done by filling out the form below, prior to the entries close date/time. This will allow for teams to be placed into heats prior to event day.
  • Successful submission of the HVC Relay Team Submission form will see a confirmation email delivered to your contact email address. If you do not receive this email, please check your junk folder; if you still cannot locate the email, you wish to make an amendment to the team, or you have any queries, please email sportdelivery@athsvic.org.au so that a member of the team can get back to you.
