General Information
The 2018 Victorian All Schools Track & Field Championships is conducted over three days comprising of both Track and Field events for Secondary School students. It is the perfect way for students to take part in interschool sport and compete against the very best.
Participating athletes have the opportunity to qualify for the 2018 Australian All Schools Track & Field Championships.
Date: Friday 2nd – Sunday 4th November 2018
Location: Lakeside Stadium, 31-33 Aughtie Drive Albert Park
Athlete Cost: $20 per event
Entry & Ticket Box: Via Gate 1 North Stand

Free entry for competing athletes, AA affiliated coaches & children under 12
How To Enter
Entries close strictly at 11:59am, Monday 22nd October 2018 – to avoid disappointment, enter before this deadline. Late or on the day entries will not be accepted.
If you are experiencing any issues entering the event, please contact Athletics Victoria prior to the closing date either via email: summer@athsvic.org.au or via phone to the Competitions Department on 03 8646 4512 or 03 8646 4526. Athletics Victoria will not accept any late entries after the closing date.

Log onto your portal using your username and password.
If you have forgotten your username and password, or if you would like to register to compete at the 2018 Victorian All Schools Track & Field Championships, please call Athletics Victoria and request the Membership Team on 03 8646 4500.
Step 3
Once you’ve logged into your portal, proceed to the Events tab and click into it. Locate the event called 2018 Victorian All Schools Track & Field Championships, then click the Register button. When the drop-down menu appears click on Register as Individual.
Step 4
This will direct you to a new page which shows all the events you can enter. You will need to select your age group form the drop down menu under Age Division and then click register next to each of the events you wish to enter. You will notice a pop up saying that your order has been successfully added to your cart. Your cart is in the top left of your portal.
Once you have entered all your events, click on your cart and it will show you all the orders you have created. Once satisfied with your entries, proceed to the check out and follow the payment options. This will then take you through to the payment screen.

Note: the featured timetable is a ‘DRAFT’ and for reference only. Due to the complexity of scheduling both track and field events, once entries close a revised ‘PROVISIONAL TIMETABLE’ will be published which will provide an up to date schedule of events and timings. The ‘Provisional Timetable’ should be used over and above the ‘Draft’ version. Athletics Victoria will notify all entrants via email and social media of changes to the timetable before the event commences. It is the responsibility of athletes, parents or coaches to check the timetable online 24 hours before competition, if you are unsure of the most up to date timetable, please do not hesitate to contact Athletics Victoria on 03 86464500.
Athlete Check In
Athletes must check-in at least 60 minutes prior to their event in the Athlete TIC area. Athletes who do not check-in will be scratched from that event. Pole Vault athletes must check-in 90 minutes prior to the first scheduled round.
Note: if you are running late for Athlete Check-In for any reason and wish to contact a member of the Athletics Victoria staff on the day please contact 0447 202 160.
Insufficient athlete check-in will result in:
- Where Heats, Semis and Finals have been scheduled in the timetable – if insufficient athletes report to the TIC by the required time for Heats requiring progression to Semi-Final, then the Semi-Finals shall be cancelled with the heats run at the HEAT TIME.
- Where Heats, Semis and Finals or Heat and Finals only have been scheduled in the timetable – if insufficient athletes report to the TIC for the need to conduct Heats or Semi-Finals, then only the athletes who reported and signed in will progress to the Final. The Final will be held at the HEAT TIME.
Call Room
All athletes must report to the Call Room prior to any event in which they compete (Heats, Semi-Finals and Finals) at the times specified below. Athletes must be dressed in their competition uniform and ready to compete.
Any athlete who does not report to Call Room will be disqualified. In the case of a clash of events, please fill out a Clash of Events form which can be found in the Call Room.
Athletes will be marshalled and their competition uniforms, bib number(s), hip numbers (if applicable), shoes and other equipment will be checked to ensure they comply with competition rules. Athletes are not allowed to leave the Call Room once they have checked in; until a Marshal accompanies athletes to the start line. Any athlete who does not proceed to the start of the event with the Marshal will not be allowed to compete.

Mulit-Class Events
Para athletes will compete together in the same event, these athletes have been separated into the U16, U18 & U20 age groups. Medals will be presented in those genders and age groups throughout the weekend.
Note: Australian All Schools Championships only have events for the U16 & U18 age groups for Para athletes. Only U16 & U18 age group participants will be eligible for the Victorian Team.
Field Attempts
U17 – U20 Age Groups: Three (3) attempts, with the top eight (8) to then get three (3) additional attempts.
U14 – U16 Age Groups: Three (3) attempts, with the top eight (8) to then get one (1) more attempt.
Note: in the event of a tie in the High Jump and Pole Vault events, a jump off will be used to determine placing’s if athletes are still tied after a count back.
Nationals Selection
VICTORIAN TEAM SELECTION INFORMATION
AUSTRALIAN ALL SCHOOLS TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2018
Cairns, Queensland
Friday 7th to Sunday 9th December, 2018 (team will travel on Thursday 6th)
The Victorian team will be selected based upon results from the Victorian All Schools Championships. As such, participants who do not compete at these championships will be ineligible for selection to the Victorian team.
- Athletes placing first and second in U14*, U15, 16, U17 & U18 Age group will be automatically selected
- Two Para-athletes will be selected per event in the U16 & U18 age groups. The best performed athletes as per the Athletics Australia MDS Tables will be selected. These athletes must appear on the AA Classification master list.
*U14 athletes MUST be born in 2005 or 2006 to be selected. The 3000m, 2000m steeplechase and 200m hurdles are NOT offered at the Australian All Schools Championships for the U14 age group.
This trip includes compulsory team travel. Further information regarding flights, accommodation and costing will be released shortly.
Venue Information
Catering
Lakeside Stadium will have their Kiosk open which provides food and hot and cold beverages.
First Aid
St Johns Ambulance will be on site throughout the day. They will be in the player runaway which is located halfway down the home straight.
Toilet Facilities
There are toilet facilities open around Lakeside Stadium.
Car Parking
Car parking is available around Lakeside Stadium, and MSAC. Please take note of parking fees.
Looking After Lakeside Stadium
We are very grateful for the opportunity to compete at Lakeside Stadium. Please ensure you:
- Park only in designate parking bays
- Leave the venue as you found it – clean and tidy
- Do not litter, and use the bins provided
- Inform athletes to leave the toilet blocks in a respectable state
Please note that dogs are not allowed inside Lakeside Stadium.
