Today the Victorian Government released a positive message to all Victorians that the current lockdown will end, and restrictions eased from 11.59 pm Tuesday 27 July 2021.
Athletics Victoria events fall under the COVID-19 Public Events Framework and currently awaiting further information from Vicsport and Sport and Recreation Victoria on the Restricted Activity Directions for Sport (RADS) for tier 3 events.
No decision has been made as of yet regarding this Saturday’s XCR Round 7 at Lake Wendouree, and we will advise all members once information is available.
This is still a challenging time for all in sport, and I thank you for your ongoing support. You can have confidence that we are doing all we can to bring these events back to you as safely and quickly as possible.
