Athletics Victoria is proud to release the 2022/23 Summer Calendar. With over 20 meets from September to April, we’re excited to have another brilliant summer of track and field.
The AV summer track and field season kicks off with the Victorian All Schools Track Relay & Field Relay Champs on Thursday, September 15.
AVSL, Athletics Victoria’s inter-club track and field competition, returns from October 8 to March 25. The recent burst of athletics performances is sure to pump more energy into the state’s premier athletics contest.
Athletics Victoria will release further information regarding the ever-popular Specialist Groups and club meets, along with much-anticipated national events, such as the 2022 ZATOPEK:10, shortly.
Ross Cunningham, Interim Chief Executive Officer, says, “After a bumper winter season, our first complete winter season in two years, we are excited to deliver another busy summer offering. The recent performances of Australian athletes at the World Athletics Championships Oregon22, World Under 20 Championships in Cali and of course, the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, give us all confidence that athletics is ready to come to the fore this summer, and we are here with open arms. We look forward to seeing all our members, new and returning, throughout the season.”
Although Athletics Victoria administers many events across the season, we look at the success clubs have had over the last eight months hosting meets. Athletics Victoria encourages all AV-affiliated clubs to pursue the opportunity of staging an event with AV assistance available. Clubs can view and complete this form by visiting the Events page here on the Athletics Victoria website.
At Athletics Victoria, we are looking forward to another exciting summer season, with products for members current, new and past.
