Prior to the event, please ensure you read the below information.

Reminder that the main car park here at Lakeside is slowly returning back to full capacity from the Australian Grand Prix. Entry can be accessed via Aquatic Drive. Parking in Aquatic Drive is limited so please plan accordingly.

E.g. ALL Male 100m Athletes must check-in before 10:00am

HVC is aligning with other AV events (AVSL & Championships) and will require ALL athletes to Check-In 1 Hour before competition is due to start.

Athletes who have a clash due to another field event or track event are to make officials aware in line with the above information.

SHOE DECLARATION – National Permit Meets

As the A & B Races and A Field events are World Permit meets, Open & U20 athletes in these events are required to complete an AV online Shoe Declaration Form prior to their first HVC meet. Any State Record, National Record or International qualifying performance will not be ratified without a Shoe Declaration being submitted.

Athletes are to wear shoes that comply with the World Athletics Shoe Rule. For a current list of compliant shoes, please download the latest list: https://www.worldathletics.org/about-iaaf/documents/book-of-rules

All Open & U20 Athletes inclusive of Para athletes, attempting a State Record, National Record or International qualifier MUST complete a shoe declaration form prior to participation at an HVC meet.

Please complete the online form HERE prior to the event!

Warm Up:

Warm up may take place on the warmup track. There will be limited hurdles and training blocks for use. Please be conscious and respectful of other competitors when warming up.

Wind:

Athletics Victoria will aim to turn the track to suit the wind conditions, where possible. As is the nature with all weather, it can change. Please note, back straight camera’s and photo finish equipment can take up to 2 hours to set up, so decisions to turn or not turn the track are often made 1.5-2 hours before the first scheduled track event.

As the back straight camera’s and photo finish equipment is temporary, please expect some minor delays in programing and start times. We kindly ask you to resepct the officials in working through any technical difficulty to ensure optimal competition conditions.

Long Jump:

Both Male and Female Pools will have 15 competitors, to accomodate for the increase number of entries. Only the Top 8 Male & Female athletes will receive an additional 3 attempts, athletes whom do not qualify for the additional jumps will only receive the first 3 attempts.

Good luck!
