High Velocity Club – Meet 1

Location: Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park
Welcome to High Velocity Club; a short and fast format competition for sprinters, hurdlers and jumpers! This event is coming up soon, and to make sure it all goes smoothly we’ve put together some simple steps for you to follow.
Prior to the event, please ensure you read the below information.
Athlete Check-In:
Check-in will OPEN – 5:00pm on Monday 27th of November.
Athletes MUST check in for the following events:
- 60m & 400m – 30 minutes prior to event start time via ResultsHub. If athletes cannot check-in via ResultsHub, they can do so at Administration (located near the the finish line), but must do so 30 minutes prior to the published event start time.
Check-In Close Times:
Male 60m – 6:50pm
Female 60m – 7:17pm
Male 400m – 7:50pm
Female 400m – 8:10pm
Marshalling:
All athletes are required to marshal for their event 10 minutes before scheduled start time.
Athletes who have a clash due to another field event or track event are to make officials aware in line with the above information.
Bibs:
All registered AV athletes will be required to wear their 2023/24 season bibs. Invitational Athletes who do not have current AV bibs will be able to collect a temporary set at administration located at the blue tent at the finish line.
Non-Members are required to pick up their bib from the administration tent, located at the finish line.
SHOE DECLARATION – National Permit Meets
As the A & B Races and A Field events are World Permit meets, Open & U20 athletes in these events are required to complete an AV online Shoe Declaration Form prior to their first HVC meet. Any State Record, National Record or International qualifying performance will not be ratified without a Shoe Declaration being submitted.
Athletes are to wear shoes that comply with the World Athletics Shoe Rule. For a current list of compliant shoes, please download the latest list: https://worldathletics.org/about-iaaf/documents/technical-information
All Open & U20 Athletes inclusive of Para athletes, attempting a State Record, National Record or International qualifier MUST complete a shoe declaration form prior to participation at an HVC meet.

Warm Up
Warm up may take place on the warm up track, located behind the Northern Grandstand. There will be limited hurdles and training blocks for use.
PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO WEATHER (CHANCE OF RAIN) , THE 60m MAY BE REQUIRED TO BE HELD ON THE FRONT STRAIGHT.
THE DECISION WILL BE MADE BASED ON CONDITIONS AND THE DECISIONS WILL BE ANNOUNCED DURING THE EVENING.
Long Jump
Please note as we have taken more than the advertised 8 athletes, only the Top 8 Male & Female athletes will receive an additional 3 attempts, athletes whom do not qualify for the additional throws will only receive the first 3 attempts.
2x100m Relays
Those athletes participating in the AV All Schools Relay Training will be manually entered into teams to run the 2x100m event at the conclusion of the program. Partners and legs will be identified by coaches at the beginning of the training session. If you haven’t already , please contact State Teams Manager – Tom Gamble (tom.gamble@athsvic.org.au) to confirm your attendance.
