High Velocity Club – Meet 1

Date: Thursday 10th December 2020

Meet 1 Events: 100m, 400m, Long Jump (Top 8 Men & Women – 6 attempts) and High Jump (Top 8 U18 Men & Women)

Location: Box Hill

Welcome to High Velocity Club; a short and fast format competition for sprinters, hurdlers and jumpers! This event is coming up soon, and to make sure it all goes smoothly we’ve put together some simple steps for you to follow.

Prior to the event, please ensure you read the below information.

Venue Access

There will be one entry and exit gate for access to the venue which will be located at the eastern end of the car park at Barwon Street (Double gates).

Each event group will have its own designated entry time to the venue to ensure that there is no crossover of groups. Please ensure that you check the Provisional Timetable below for your entry/warm up time and location.

To enter the venue on the night, all athletes, coaches, spectators, etc. must check in using either the CS Sports app, website or the QR code (Box Hill Venue ID VICA05)

Venue Capacity & Spectator Zones

A cap of 1000 patrons will be allowed to enter a venue/premises, but patrons must not be in groups larger than 100. Specific spectator zones and warm up areas will be managed to ensure group sizes of 100 or less both on and off the track. It is still a requirement to maintain a one (1) person per 2 square metres distancing rule within groups of 100.

To keep manageable groups, athletes are encouraged to bring no more than two (2) spectators per participant. If you have any queries, please contact sportdelivery@athsvic.org.au

Warm Up

In order to ensure that we are compliant with government regulations, warm ups may be limited. On the Provisional Timetable, please take note of your event time, the entry/warm up time and your allocated warm up area. Any additional warm up can be completed outside the venue prior to entry.

In the event that the 100m races are staged on the back straight, the warm up areas for the men’s and women’s 100m and the men’s 400m will swap to the opposite straights.
