The Geelong Cross Country Club Incorporated aims to foster a spirit of goodwill, and promotes fitness, a healthy lifestyle and social interaction. Races are predominately conducted on walking/cycling tracks around the Geelong region on Sunday mornings over the winter months. We welcome all standard of runners16 years of age and over. Distances range from 5km to 21km. Our handicapping system provides encouragement for all runners and the chance to be successful.
The Victorian Business Runners Inc. is an organisation which caters for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Our Winter Season events are held once a month from March to September. Events are held on Sunday mornings, generally over distances of 5km and 10km. Our Summer Season consists of four events held from November to February. These events have a novelty aspect, with participants nominating times, so ALL participants have an equal chance to win. Teams representing the same Company /Organisation are most welcome and form the basis of our team oriented Corporate Cup Structure, where Team grade winners are declared based on the season results. Individual grade winners are also declared based on season results for age group categories. We encourage participation and aim to make events fun for all participants.
