Brothers Lachlan and Leigh Benbow have both broken Ballarat Regional Athletic Centre (BRAC) records in the Hammer Throw on the same weekend! Lachlan threw 51.46 metres to claim the U20 Male record, and now holds both the U18 & U20 BRAC Hammer records. Brother Leigh then followed on, breaking his own record with a throw of 30.77 metres to retain the U14 Male record.
Both records were recorded at Llanberris Athletics Reserve during Round 2 of AVSL.
Along with sister Alyssa, the Benbow family now hold several records across Discus, Shot Put, Hammer and Javelin. Well done to the Benbows on their achievements.
