Victorian U20 & Open 5000m Championships

The On Victorian 5000m Championships is a highly popular event on the Athletics Victoria calendar and is often the breeding ground for some of Victoria’s strongest middle distance athletes

Athlete event Check-in, Hip Numbers & Marshalling:

Athletes will be required to check in & pick up their hip numbers from the marquee at the finish line 15 minutes prior to their race start time. Hip Numbers are to be worn on the right hip & also on their right breast to assist lap scorers. Athletes will be required to marshall at the finish line 10 minutes prior to the race and will then be escorted to the start line passing the lap scorers

Toilets at Lakeside

Please note due to the size of the expected crowd only the toilets located adjacent to the finish line will be operational during this event.

Shoe Requirements:

All Open Men & Open Women A Race & U20 Championship Race Athletes, along with any Para Athletes attempting a National Record MUST complete a shoe declaration form prior to participation in the On Victorian U20 & Open 5000m Championships.

Lap Scorers:

All athletes are required to provide their own lap scorer for this event. Lap scorers can be a friend, parent, partner or fellow athlete not competing in the same race.

Holders of Interstate Memberships:

Athletes who are members of other Athletics Australia membership associations are eligible to enter this event. Please contact the Sport Delivery Team via sportdelivery@athsvic.org.au

If you have issues entering the event please contact Athletics Victoria PRIOR to the closing date. This can be done via email to sportdelivery@athsvic.org.au. Athletics Victoria will not accept any late entries. Emails received after the closing date will not be accepted.

NOTE: Please be aware that following the closure of entries, AV will publish a provisional timetable which will take the place of the Draft Timetable.
