AVSL Reserve Round*

*This weekend was intentionally kept free at the start of the season to afford athletes the opportunity to compete and make up points in the event of a round cancellation. Inclement weather for Round 3 on Saturday, November 8, 2025, caused the cancellation of both metro venues and Geelong. Ballarat and Bendigo events for that day were able to continue.

NON-SCORING ENTRIES OPENING – RESERVE ROUND

The Sport Delivery team has taken some time to review the responses to the survey regarding attendance to the Reserve Round, sent to athletes that had entered Round 3.

Following this, we have been able to open a small number of positions in limited events at Zone A and Zone B.

Athletes that enter these positions will be INELIGIBLE to score AVSL points, however results will be valid for national qualifications in line with all other AVSL rounds. Events that will have some positions available are listed on the entry portals below.

We understand this is short notice; we have been working hard behind the scenes to try and provide opportunities where we could, while ensuring that we would be able to provide AVSL to the expected standard.

Also reviewed was the possibility to open positions at Geelong, but due to only a small number of withdrawals at this location, along with a shortage of volunteer officials on the day, we are unable to accept any additional entries at this location. We thank Geelong Athletics for looking into the ability to do so to provide opportunity for our athletes.

If you are unable to attend and wish to withdraw please do so AS SOON AS POSSIBLE via this SURVEY so that we can update any positions available prior to opening entries at 5pm.

We will look to make any further adjustments to the AVSL Round 3 timetables for Zone A & B at the conclusion of this extended entry period.

A reminder that Metro, Geelong & Ballarat will be using Online Check-in for TRACK & FIELD.

Check-in will close 60 minutes PRIOR to the scheduled event start time. Please see below within the Check-In section a guide on how to check-in (please note check-in will open at 5pm Friday)

If you have issues entering the event please contact Athletics Victoria PRIOR to the closing date. This can be done via email to sportdelivery@athsvic.org.au or by phoning the Athletics Victoria office on 7032 8400 (Leave a message explaining the issues you are experiencing). Athletics Victoria will not accept any late entries. Emails received after the closing date will not be accepted.

Please note that there will be NO on the day entries for AVSL 2025/26
