UPDATED CONTROLLED SHEET DISTANCES

Following many requests to review Controlled Sheet Distances within the Metro Venues we have made some small changes for Round 5 and 6. We will monitor the impact of these changes through these two rounds and review for the final 4 rounds of the season post the New Year break.

HOME ZONE VENUE PRIORITY

Following many seasons of requests from the AVSL committee and AV clubs, the 2025/26 season will see a priority entry process for athletes entering their home zone for AVSL.

The Sport Delivery team, in conjunction with the Sport Development team, has been able to develop the Members Portal to assign members to their home zone based on their club.

This will allow Sport Delivery to provide a period for Home Venue athletes to enter their home venue for AVSL prior to all other zoned athletes being able to fill positions.

Entry to an athletes assigned home venue will open at 5pm Wednesday a week and a half prior to the competition date.

At 12pm on the Friday, entries will then open for athletes to access all venues. This will allow athlete to fill any spaces not filled by the Home Venue athletes.

A reminder that Metro, Geelong & Ballarat will be using Online Check-in for TRACK & FIELD.

Check-in will close 60 minutes PRIOR to the scheduled event start time. Please see below within the Check-In section a guide on how to check-in (please note check-in will open at 5pm Friday)

Important Additional Information

WITHDRAWALS

Athletes that have entered, but no longer will compete on the weekend may withdraw up until entries closing via the membership portal. To do so, athletes must login to the membership portal, then go to Account, My Events and then select Request Withdrawal.

This will help Athletics Victoria minimise empty lanes and field positions for the upcoming round!

CHECK-IN

Athletes at Metro, Ballarat & Geelong venues MUST check in for all events.

CHECK-IN CLOSES 1 HOUR (60 MINUTES) PRIOR TO SCHEDULED START TIME.

If you are unable to check-in without assistance, please go to administration whom will be able to assist.

This is to assist in providing athletes the best competition possible throughout the day and minimising blank lanes or empty positions in all events.

Metro Throw & Go Athletes MUST check in online and see officials 5 minutes PRIOR to start time of sheet you wish to compete in to ensure that they are ready for your attempt, and can schedule it in along with the other participants.

If you have issues entering the event please contact Athletics Victoria PRIOR to the closing date. This can be done via email to sportdelivery@athsvic.org.au or by phoning the Athletics Victoria office on 7032 8400 (Leave a message explaining the issues you are experiencing). Athletics Victoria may not accept late entries.
