AV Throwers – Meet 3
Date: Tuesday, February 24th 2026 POSTPONED to Thursday, February 26th 2026
Location: Rieschiecks Reserve, Doncaster Athletics Track
Welcome to AV Throwers; a short and fast format competition all throwers! This event is coming up soon, and to make sure it all goes smoothly we’ve put together some simple steps for you to follow.
Prior to the event, please ensure you read the below information.
Athlete Check-In:
Check-in will OPEN – 5:00pm on Wednesday 25th of February.
Athletes MUST check in for the following events:

- ALL EVENTS – 1 HOUR prior to event start time via ResultsHub. If athletes cannot check-in via ResultsHub, they can do so at Administration (located near the the finish line), but must do so 1 HOUR prior to the published event start time.
AV Throwers is aligning with other AV events (AVSL & Championships) and will require all athletes to Check-In 1 Hour before competition is due to start.
Implement Check-In:
Implement check-in will be available 1 hour before the scheduled start time of event. Implement check-in is located at the Tech Shed, on the 200m corner.
Marshalling:
All athletes are required to marshal for their event 10 minutes before scheduled start time.
Athletes who have a clash due to another field event or track event are to make officials aware in line with the above information.
Bibs:
All registered AV athletes will be required to wear their 2025/26 season bibs. Invitational Athletes who do not have current AV bibs will be able to collect a temporary set at administration located at the top of the grandstand.
Non-Members are required to pick up their bib from the administration.
SHOE DECLARATION – World Athletics Permit Meets
As AV Throwers meets are World Rankings Competition (WRC) Permit meets, ALL ATHLETES are expected to compete in World Athletics compliant shoes.
Any State Record, National Record or National/International qualifying performance will not be ratified without athletes wearing shoes that meet the World Athletics Shoe Rules.
Athletes are to wear shoes that comply with the World Athletics Shoe Rule. For a current list of compliant shoes, please view the latest list: https://certcheck.worldathletics.org/FullList
All Athletes, inclusive of Para athletes, attempting a State Record, National Record, or International qualifier MUST wear shoes that meet World Athletics Shoe Rules. Athletes may be subjected to a shoe check at the conclusion of their event.
Warm Up:
Discus & Javelin Throwers will have warm up throws before commencing competition. Number of Warm Up throws will be determined by officials. Please take caution of fellow athletes and implements.
Discus Throw:
All Open & U20 Athletes will receive 6 throws in competition. All Junior (U18 and below) will receive 4 throws in competition.
Javelin Throw:
All Open & U20 Athletes will receive 6 throws in competition. All Junior (U18 and below) will receive 4 throws in competition.
