2018 AV 15km Walks Championships

The first VRWC/AV championship race of 2018 starts with the open 15km walk. The race will give the opportunity for walkers to kick start their winter race walking season at Middle Park Bowls Club.


Results

You must check-in NO LATER THAN 45 minutes before the start of the race.

Athletes competing in any AV Championship events are required to wear their first claim AV Club Uniform and current AV Bibs. Competitors MUST wear numbers on the front and back of their uniform top.

Athletes competing in the AV Schools Walk events are required to wear their School Sports uniform.

Competitors MUST also wear Electronic Timing Tags for the event. These are available at pre-race check in for non-VRWC members, and VRWC members are to wear their previously allocated tag.

The track is AIMS certified and Judged under IAAF Rules (International Association of Athletics Federations) Rules 230 and 240.

2018 AV 50km Walks Championships

The 50km Walks Championship is the grand finale event on the upbeat walks winter calendar. The 50km Walk Championships is an mixed event for all ages to get involved. The honorable winner will receive the famous Jared Tallent Trophy.

Athletes competing in any AV Championship events are required to wear their first claim AV Club Uniform and current AV Bibs. Competitors MUST wear numbers on the front and back of their uniform top.

Results

The mixed AV 30km Walks Championship will give athletes the opportunity to build their top performances before the major 50km walk. The event also incorporates the final walks events for all junior age groups who are looking to finish their seasons off strong.

The AV 10km & Country Walks Championships is another premier event on the race walking calendar for athletes of all ages who are either looking to take out the state titles or progress their season campaigns. The Championships is also combined with the VRWC events at racing head quarters in Middle Park.

The AV 20km & School Walks Championships will be held on the 25th of June at Middle Park. The event is being run on behalf of Athletics Victoria (AV) by the Victorian Race Walking Club (VRWC).
