Officials Practical Seminar – Track

This is a practical session combining the theory of rules with their practical application, along with the important aspects of safety, venue set up, recording results and handling of equipment. 

This seminar is open to all levels of experience, from new volunteers to experienced officials.

Cost: All Practical sessions are free.

Seminars compliment the Level 1 Australian Athletics Officials Education Scheme On Line components.  It is advised that participants have completed Level 1 On Line prior to attending the practical seminar  – for more information on the On Line Learning Portal, please click here.

Shot Pre-Departure Meet

The Shot Pre-Departure Meet held at Bill Sewart Athletics Track (Nunawading Athletics Club) is to prepare Todd Hodgetts and Damien Birkinhead prior to heading to London for the World Championships. The meet is open to any athlete that has a National Qualifying throw that would like to participate.

Date: Friday 30th of June

Time: 3pm

Location: Bill Sewart Athletics Track (Mel Ref 1A – K5)

Cost: Free

AV Throws Challenge 3

Date: Sunday 18th of February 2017

Entries: Entries sent to victhrows@gmail.com: Please send event, date of birth, phone number, personal best and seasons best. $10 per event made payable with cash on the day. Entrants must have thrown a national qualifier for their age group or AWD class. The top 4 boys and girls in each event will be given 3 extra throws.

Entries close on Wednesday 15th January 2017: No late entries accepted unless the field isn’t full.

Maximum field is 12 (If more than 12 entries then top 12 will be accepted) : exception made for para athletes.

First of it’s kind AV Throws Challenge 1 is offering athletes to compete against the best in Shot put, Discus, Hammer and Javelin.

Entries are taken on the day, $10 per event.
