Warm up/Cool down – please read
Significant improvements have been made to the grounds and gardens at Cruden Farm since we last raced, and it’s essential that we respect the property to preserve its pristine condition, and to ensure being permitted to return for future races. Please see the course map for out-of-bounds areas.
Athletes that do not follow this request may be disqualified. Clubs of offending athletes may also have penalties implemented, including, but not limited to, team disqualification for the round, ladder point penalties, or team disqualification for the season
Please also note the gravel pathway, marked with a dotted line, which provides ample room for warm-up/cool-down. We encourage athletes to use this area to limit wear and tear on gardens/grassed areas.
Footwear
This venue is a working farm, so most of the surfaces on the course will be grass. We have had fine weather this week, however rain is predicted this Saturday, meaning the course may deteriorate and even become muddy in some areas.
There will also be areas of gravel on the course.
As always, we encourage athletes to bring more than one type of footwear and make their own decision based on the weather, course and personal preference; however, it does look like spiked footwear is indicated.
Course Map plus individual Course Maps by distance
Please find a link to the course map here. Please also note the out of bounds areas, and utilise the gravel path (marked with a dotted line) for warm-up/cool-down where possible.
If travelling from Melbourne, travel using Eastlink, and take exit 28 to merge onto Peninsula Link/Mornington Peninsula Fwy/M11 toward Portsea.
If travelling via public transport, catch a Frankston train to Frankston station. From Frankston train station, bus routes 771, 789, 790 & 791 all pass Cruden Farm.
Entry to the carpark will be via Cranhaven Road – accessible via Cranbourne/Frankston Road. Please find a link from Google Maps here.
While there will be carpark attendants in place to assist, please be mindful that there is rain forecast for event day, and exercise caution – the carpark may become muddy, making exit difficult for vehicles.
There will also be a marked off area within the carpark which is designated as a ‘Marquee Drop Off Area’, where club managers and others transporting club marquees can stop for a short period of time to place their marquee in the area closest to the start/finish.
Bibs & Uniform
In the 2026/27 season, there will be no cloth bibs issued. We are committed to reducing our footprint on the environments we use. Your new timing bibs are now made from hardier material, designed to last the whole season – XCR and track! So please ensure you care for your bibs, e.g. do not machine wash, do not fold. Lost or damaged bibs will incur a new bib fee.
All registered athletes are required to wear the approved uniform of their athletics club, or its heritage variant. Non-Athlete AV members are to wear appropriate athletic clothing.
All athletes must wear their allocated 2025/26 AV Membership on their front and back, the smaller bib with the timing chip (foam sticker on the back) to be worn on the front. Non-compliance with the above may see disqualification.
Recreational Runner or Non-Member Bibs & Uniform
If you are a Recreational Runner or Non-Member of Athletics Victoria you are to wear your assigned temporary bibs during the race, if these are not worn you may not receive a finishing time or may be removed from the course.
These are to be collected on the morning from Administration. With large numbers expected, arrive early to be prepared for the race!
In regards to uniform, we encourage members of recreational clubs to wear your recreational running club uniform or alternatively if you do not have a club uniform, or are not part of a recreational running club, you are to wear appropriate athletic attire to compete at the event.
Replacement Bibs
If you have lost or forgotten your bibs, please see the staff at administration, where you will be able to purchase a temporary or full replacement set.
Please note that bib sales at this event will be cashless. Only card payments will be taken.
