High Velocity Club – Meet 6

Welcome to High Velocity Club; a short and fast format competition for sprinters, hurdlers and jumpers! This event is coming up soon, and to make sure it all goes smoothly we’ve put together some simple steps for you to follow.
Prior to the event, please ensure you read the below information.
SHOE DECLARATION – National Permit Meets
As the A & B Races and A Field events are World Permit meets, Open & U20 athletes in these events are required to complete an AV online Shoe Declaration Form prior to their first HVC meet. Any State Record, National Record or International qualifying performance will not be ratified without a Shoe Declaration being submitted.
Athletes are to wear shoes that comply with the World Athletics Shoe Rule. For a current list of compliant shoes, please download the latest list: https://worldathletics.org/about-iaaf/documents/technical-information
All Open & U20 Athletes inclusive of Para athletes, attempting a State Record, National Record or International qualifier MUST complete a shoe declaration form prior to participation at an HVC meet.

Warm Up
Warm up may take place on the back straight if the 100m and 200m events are being held on the front straight. While the 400m Hurdles are taking place please use the High Jump ‘D’ until the conclusion of the hurdle events.
In the event that the 100m and 200m events are staged on the back straight, the warm up areas for the men’s and women’s 100m and 200m will swap to the front straight.
PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO WEATHER (CHANCE OF RAIN) AND LIGHTING CONCERNS (DUE TO EARLIER SUNSET AND CLOUDY CONDITION), THE 100m & 200m MAY BE REQUIRED TO BE HELD ON THE FRONT STRAIGHT.
THE DECISION WILL BE MADE BASED ON CONDITIONS AND THE DECISIONS WILL BE ANNOUNCED DURING THE EVENING.
Long Jump
Please note as we have taken more than the advertised 8 athletes, only the Top 8 Male & Female athletes will receive an additional 3 attempts, athletes whom do not qualify for the additional throws will only receive the first 3 attempts.
Athlete Check In
There will be no athlete check in process for this event. Athletes will be required to report to their event site no later than 10 minutes prior to their scheduled event start time. All registered AV athletes will be required to wear their 2022/23 season bibs. Invitational Athletes who do not have current AV bibs will be able to collect a temporary set at administration located next to the club rooms.
