Meet 1 Events: 100 Yard Championships (David Baxter & Denise Boyd), 200m, Long Hurdles, Long Jump & High Jump

Welcome to High Velocity Club; a short and fast format competition for sprinters, hurdlers and jumpers! This event is coming up soon, and to make sure it all goes smoothly we’ve put together some simple steps for you to follow.

100 Yard David Baxter & Denise Boyd Championship Progressions
The following progressions will take place for the 100 Yard David Baxter and Denise Boyd Championships.
Please note that Unattached/Invitational Athletes will not progress through to the 100 Yard Championship Final.
100 Yard David Baxter Male Open Championship – First 1 and the next fastest 4 athletes
100 Yard Denise Boyd Female Open Championship – First 2 and the next fastest 2 athletes
SHOE DECLARATION – National Permit Meets
As all HVC meets are National Permit meets, Open & U20 athletes are required to complete an AV online Shoe Declaration Form prior to their first HVC meet. Any State Record, National Record or International qualifying performance will not be ratified without a Shoe Declaration being submitted.
Athletes are to wear shoes that comply with the World Athletics Shoe Rule. For a current list of compliant shoes, please download the latest list: https://worldathletics.org/about-iaaf/documents/technical-information
All Open & U20 Athletes inclusive of Para athletes, attempting a State Record, National Record or International qualifier MUST complete a shoe declaration form prior to participation at an HVC meet.

Warm up may take place on the back straight if the 100 Yards, 200m events are being held on the front straight.
In the event that the 100 Yards and 200m races are staged on the back straight, the warm up areas for the men’s and women’s 100m Yards, Long Hurdles and 200m will swap to the front straights.
Athlete Check In
There will be no athlete check in process for this event. Athletes will be required to report to their event site no later than 10 minutes prior to their scheduled event start time. All registered AV athletes will be required to wear their 2022/23 season bibs. Invitational Athletes who do not have current AV bibs will be able to collect a temporary set at the main entry gate.
