EVENT SPECIFIC INFORMATION

Athletics Victoria is partnered with Project Clothing. It is compulsory that all members of the Victorian team wear the Project Clothing competition uniform.
All athletes (except UniSport) are required to check in for their event with their Team Manager. Bibs will be collected from the Victorian Team Tent.

Victorian Team Composition
Athletics Victoria will nominate their ‘Official Team Members’ (OTM) from registered club members or bona fide school students who will wear Athletics Victoria uniform. 24 athletes will be selected for each age group, 12 Male, 12 Female. Selection is determined by an athlete finishing order, thus the first 10 athletes to cross the line at Victorian Trials will represent Athletics Victoria, those 10 individuals will be selected. The final 2 spots will be made available for discretionary selections.
Athletics Victoria will approve and enter ‘Additional Competitors’ (AC) from registered club members or bona fide school students who will wear club or school uniform. This number is unlimited but cut off times will be provided to ensure a national standard of competition, as listed in National Cut-Off Times below.
ALL athletes wishing to compete at the Championships (Both OTM and AC) must independantly nominate themselves via AV Event Portal. AV will not submit any nominations on athletes behalf.

Shoe Declaration – National Permit Meets
All athletes should be familiar with World Athletics Rules relating to shoes and spikes, see the excerpts from the World Athletics Shoe regulations.
All athletes should be familiar with World Athletics Rule TR5.2 and World Athletics Shoe Regulations 10 and 11 (the most relevant provisions of which are set out below).
For clarity, adding inner soles, other insertions and additions to an Athletic Shoe is allowed but only in the following circumstances:
(a) the additional inner sole or insertion is a removable Orthotic (i.e., it cannot be permanently fixed inside the shoe); or
(b) the addition is a heel raise or heel cap (e.g. to jumping shoes) or a brace or strap (e.g.to thrower shoes).
For the avoidance of doubt, the use of an Orthotic, a heel raise or heel cap as above does not fall within the maximum thickness for soles set out in the table in Appendix 3 of the World Athletics Shoe Regulations, with the intent that any other type of additional inner soles, insertions or additions are not permitted.
