AV welcomes two new staff members!

Athletics Victoria is delighted to welcome two new team members. Amy Williamson joins us as Member Services Officer from St Kilda Football Club, where she worked in the Membership Department.

Claudia Verstraten, a winner of Australian national championships, culminating in her receiving an athletic scholarship to the University of Arkansas in the USA, joins AV as Coaching Leader, creating Personal Development opportunities and offering ongoing support to coaches throughout Victoria.
We welcome both Amy and Claudia to the AV team.

Amy Williamson

I’ve been passionate about all sports since I was young. In addition to having played and coached basketball my whole life, I’ve also played softball and football and made it to Nationals for Volleyball as a Middle Blocker.

I studied in NYC before returning home to continue my studies in Sport Management & Marketing.
Prior to Athletics Victoria, I worked in the Membership Department at the St Kilda Football Club, having worked in Israel, launching two AFL teams that competed in AFL Europe Championship.

At AV, I’m the Member Services Officer. I’m the first point of contact for all membership enquires and manage back-end operations and member portal. Additionally, I manage athlete bibs & club affiliations and the club and Specialist group relations.

You can contact me on the email below. I look forward to meeting you all!

Claudia Verstraten

My passion for running started at around eight years old down at Landy Field in Geelong. During my time running, I was lucky enough to win some National medals along the way, which contributed to me receiving an athletic scholarship to the University of Arkansas in the USA, where I completed a Science degree in Kinesiology. I am currently studying for my Master’s in Nutrition at Deakin University and still run recreationally for fun.

I’m the Coaching Leader, which encompasses delivering Coaching Education Courses & Workshops, creating Personal Development opportunities and offering ongoing support to coaches throughout Victoria. I look forward to meeting those I haven’t met yet and reconnecting with those of you I have grown to know over the years.
