Athletics Victoria is excited to announce an extension to its partnership with global running brand On, with the two partnering for the next three years in the delivery of the prestigious Zatopek:10.
The event is set to become the fifth of five global ‘On Track Nights’ held in the inaugural season of the OTN series.
Steeped in tradition, the Zatopek:10 has been a proving ground for runners since 1961. While famous for its pinnacle 10,000m events, the night will play host to a dynamic event program, while in true ‘On Track Nights’ style, On will be bringing its trademark spectator bridge, allowing fans to get closer to the action than ever before.
Athletics Victoria and On will also be bringing a host of other exciting initiatives aimed at elevating the athlete and spectator experience.
Athletics Victoria CEO Matthew Duck said that the partnership extension with On was a significant one for AV.
“It is rare to form a partnership with a sponsor that transcends mere sponsorship, but rather works to the betterment of the sport – a partnership that honours our tradition, while seeking to innovate and enhance the experience for our people – AV’s relationship with On is one such partnership.”
Duck said that Zatopek:10 2023 stood to be an athletics experience like no other on the Australian calendar.
“Combining the organisational expertise of AV with the innovative approach that On are bringing to global athletics events, we look forward to furthering our partnership with On, and showcasing our sport to both new and existing audiences alike.”
