2026 South Melbourne Physio Victorian Junior Track & Field Championships
February 13 @ 5:00 pm - February 15 @ 6:00 pm
Date: Friday 13th February – Sunday 15th February 2026
Entries Close: Midday, Monday 2nd February 2026 – ENTRIES OPEN
Location: Lakeside Stadium, Albert Park, VIC 3206
The Victorian Track & Field Championships at Lakeside Stadium will bring together athletes from across the state as they vie for state titles and qualification to the Australian Track & Field Championships.
With the alignment of the junior championships between Australian Athletics and Little Athletics Australia, U13 (2014 born) athletes are no longer eligible to participate in the U14 age group at the 2026 Australian Athletics Junior (Under Age) Championships. To make the progression to Nationals clear regarding the placing progression, while still offering state U13 championships, we have made changes to our U13 age group (2014 born) eligibility as noted below:
Under 13 athletes will only be eligible to compete in the Under 13 age group in all able-Bodied events EXCEPT for Hammer and Pole Vault.
There will be no Under 13 Championship for the Hammer and Pole Vault. Athletes may only progress to the Australian Athletics Championships via placing at the State Championships in the Under 14 age group events.
All other Under 13 athletes WILL NOT be able to progress to the Australian Athletics Championships and are not eligible to compete in older age groups.
U13 Para athletes continue to be eligible to compete in the U15 Para Championship age group and can progress to the 2026 Australian Athletics Junior (Under Age) Championships.
NOTE: Please be aware that following the closure of entries, AV will publish a provisional timetable which will take the place of the Draft Timetable.
