2019 Victorian All Schools Track Relay Championships

With a roaring 529 teams contesting last year’s edition, 2019 will see the return of the Victorian All Schools Track Relay Championships. With a slew of your favourite relay events, including the 4×400, 4×800, medley, and the blue riband 4×100 back on the program, now’s your chance to get involved in one of the state’s biggest track and field competitions.

2019 Victorian Coles Nitro Schools Challenge

When: Thursday 12th September, 2019
Where: Lakeside Stadium

Follow in the footsteps of Bolt… 2017 witnessed the introduction of Nitro Athletics, an innovative team-based competition which saw competitors battle it out over a series of rarely contested events in the hope of becoming Nitro Champions. The event attracted global attention from the likes of Usain Bolt and was quickly adapted to suit schools team-based competition. In the second staging of the Victorian Coles Nitro Schools Challenge, teams will work together, scoring points across a variety of track and field events; including some new additions to the program. Teams will challenge one another for the chance to progress to the Australian final in this unique nationwide competition.

Now it’s your turn. Get your team together and be a part of the event that bought the world’s fastest man to Melbourne.

The Victorian All Schools Track and Field Championships provides competition for athletes from under 14 to under 20 age groups to compete against the State’s best and achieve selection for the 2019 Australian Schools Championships.

Please note: Due to the size of this event, and the resurfacing works at Lakeside, the Victorian All Schools Track & Field Championships have been split over two weekends.

2019 Australian Schools Championships

When: Friday 6th December – Monday 9th December

Where: Perth, WA

Time: TBC

School pride will be on the line as the Australian All Schools Athletics Championships welcomes the best school aged track and field starters as they duel for the coveted title of national champion.

The pinnacle of Australian Athletics development pathway will be held from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th December. This three-day festival of athletics features events for students aged under 14, under 16, and under 18.

The Australian All Schools Athletics Championships will be followed by the Australian Coles Nitro Schools Challenge on Monday the 9th December.

2019 Winter Events

2019 Victorian All Schools Cross Country Relay Championships

When: Saturday 11 May, 2019
Where: Jells Park North

A school based event that provides students ranging from under 14 through under 20 the opportunity to race in a relay based competition against schools from around Victoria. One of Athletics Victoria’s three major winter school competitions, this event continues to be a popular way to start the winter season, with school teams rising to over 300 in 2018.

The Jells Park course provides a great opportunity for students of all abilities to compete in a fun and friendly environment.

2019 Victorian All Schools Road Relay Championships

When: Saturday 25 May, 2019

Where: Princes Park

A school team based relay event located at one of the most popular locations for elite sports clubs to complete their time trials, Princes Park in Carlton. This competition offers students an exciting opportunity to compete with classmates in the hustle of relay running and change overs.

The event generates a great vibe and inclusive atmosphere, with a wide mix of schools from all over Victoria involved. There is plenty of room for schools to set up their tents and we would love to see everyone embrace the new location for 2019.

2019 Victorian All Schools Cross Country Championships

When: Saturday 15 June, 2019
Entries Close: ENTRIES EXTENDED 5pm Tuesday 4 June, 2019 11:59am (midday) Monday 3 June, 2019 
Where: Bundoora Park

The 2019 Victorian All Schools Cross Country Championships is the selection trial to represent Victoria at the 2019 Australian Cross Country Championships.

This event provides students the opportunity to take on the best Victoria has to offer and claim the honor of being Victoria’s best cross country runners.

Note: Under 20 athletes who no longer attend school and wish to compete at Bundoora will need to enter the XCR’19 Rd 3 event individually via the event page. Bundoora Park is not offered as part of the XCR Package in 2019.
