2017 Victorian All Schools Track & Field Championships

 

General Information

The 2017 Victorian All Schools Track & Field Championships are a three-day Championship event comprising of both Track & Field Events for High School students. It is the perfect way for students to take part in inter-school sport and compete against the very best.

Participating athletes have the opportunity to qualify for the 2017 Australian All Schools Track & Field Championships.

Date:  Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th of November 2017

Location: Lakeside Stadium, 31-33 Aughtie Drive Albert Park

Entry: Gate 1

Entries close at 12:00pm (midday) Monday 23rd October 2017 – No late or on the day entries will be accepted.

If you have issues entering the event please contact Athletics Victoria PRIOR to the closing date at summer@athsvic.org.au or the Competitions Department on 8646 4512/8646 4526 and leave a message explaining the issues you are experiencing. Athletics Victoria will not accept any late entries and emails received after the closing date will not be accepted.

NOTE: Please be aware that following the closure of entries, AV will publish a provisional timetable with allocated provisional times.

How To Enter - Athletes

Athletics Victoria will not accept any late entries and emails received after the closing date will not be accepted.

We ask athletes to avoid creating duplicate profiles, if you have created a previous AV account and cannot access it, please contact the AV offices via 8646 4500.

Step 1

Go to the Aths Vic online portal – here

Step 2

Login using your username and password or create a new profile. If you have forgotten your username and password please call the Membership Department at Athletics Victoria on 03 8646 4500.

Step 3

Ensure that your profile is linked to your school.

Click Profile using the drop down list next to your name in the top right hand corner, search for your school by clicking on the magnifying glass in the School Field then select your school. Once selected scroll to the bottom of the page and click submit.

Step 4

Click on the ‘Events’ tab at the very top of your homepage. Find the event called ‘2017 Victorian All Track & Field Championships’, then click the ‘Register’ button.

Step 5

Select the specific event and use the drop-down box to select the correct age group, then click ‘Register’. A pop up will confirm your order has been successfully added to your cart at the top left of the screen.

If you wish to enter more events click on ‘Continue Shopping’ If you have finished registering for events click ‘Go to Cart’ or click the cart button in the top right corner. Now you can proceed to the check out and follow the payment options. You must process payment to complete your registration process.

You should receive a confirmation email, to your email account registered in your profile.

How To Enter - Schools

Step 1

Go to the Aths Vic online portal https://members.athsvic.org.au/SignIn?ReturnUrl=%2Fprofile%2F

Step 2

Login using your school’s administrator username and password. If you have forgotten your username and password or if you would like to register your school to compete in an All Schools Competition, please call the Membership Department at Athletics Victoria on 03 8646 4500.

Step 3

Once you have logged into the portal the first thing you will need to do is check your student list. We ask you to check these lists to minimise duplicate profiles for students as it can make entries difficult.

To view your student list simply click on your school title at the very top of the page a drop menu will appear – hover down and click on the title Students. A list of all athletes that have selected your school on their profile will appear. If a student does not appear on your list please add them to your school. To do this, click on the blue button ‘Add New Students’. A personal information screen will open – please add in all your student details and press submit. You will need to repeat and refresh this process for each of your students. Once you have completed this, go back to the student page all your students will see your athletes listed in the portal.

Step 4

Once you have completed this process click on the ‘Events’ tab at the very top of your homepage. Find the event called ‘2017 Victorian All Track & Field Championships’, then click the ‘Register As’ button. When the drop menu appears click on ‘Register As School’.

Step 5

Select the athlete you wish to enter from your student list. The events for the athlete is eligible to enter will appear below. Select the event and age group you wish to enter the student in for and then ‘Register’. A pop up will confirm your order has been successfully added to your cart at the top left of the screen. Once you’ve entered all your athletes, click on the cart in the top right corner which will show all the athletes and events you have entered. Now you can proceed to the check out and follow the payment options. You may pay by credit card or request an invoice. Only once you have completed the payment option will the registration process by complete.

Athlete Check In

Athletes must check-in at least 1 hour prior to their event in the Athlete TIC area. Athletes who do not check-in will be scratched from that event. Pole Vault athletes must check-in 90 minutes prior to the first scheduled round.

Insufficient athlete check-in will result in:

  1. Where heats, semis and finals have been scheduled in the timetable. If insufficient athletes report to the TIC by the required time for heats requiring progression to semi-finals, then the semi-finals shall be cancelled with the heats run at the HEAT TIME.
  2. Where heats, semis and finals or heat and finals only have been scheduled in the timetable. If insufficient athletes report to the TIC for the need to conduct heats or semi-finals, then only the athletes who reported and signed in will progress to the final. The final will be held at the heat time.

Call Room

All athletes must report to the call room prior to any event in which they compete (heats, semi-finals     and finals) at the times specified below. Athletes must be dressed in their competition uniform and ready to compete.

Any athlete who does not report to call room will be disqualified. In the case of a clash of events please fill out a clash of events form which can be found in the call room.

Athletes will be marshalled and their competition uniforms, bib number(s), hip numbers (if applicable), shoes and other equipment will be checked to ensure they comply with competition rules. Athletes are not allowed to leave the call room once they have checked in, until a marshal accompanies athletes to the start line. Any athlete who does not proceed to the start of the event with the marshal will not be allowed to compete.

 Multi- Class events

There are a number of events Multi Class athletes have the opportunity to compete in. To see these events, please look at the Draft Timetable listed on the above. Multi Class athletes will compete together in the same event, these athletes will be separated into the U16 and U18 age groups. They will receive medals in those genders and age groups throughout the weekend. This allows these athletes to be eligible for the Vic Team as well.

Venue Information

Catering

Lakeside stadium will have their Kiosk open which provides food, drinks and coffees.

First Aid

St Johns Ambulance will be on site throughout the day. They will be in the player runway which is located halfway down home straight.

Toilet facilities

There are toilet facilities access throughout the grandstands.

Car Parking

Car parking is available within lakeside stadium and MSAC.

Looking after Lakeside Stadium

We are very grateful for the opportunity to compete at Lakeside Stadium.

  • Park only in designated parking bays
  • Take home all rubbish so that we leave the venue as we found it.
  • Do not litter any rubbish in the Stadium. Please use bins provided
  • Make sure your athletes leave the toilet blocks in a respectable state.
