Athletics Victoria Interim CEO Ross Cunningham today announced a new Club incentive program that recognises and rewards club helpers who are an integral part of the success of every Championship Event on the AV Summer Calendar.

“Part of the success of Championship Events is the valuable contribution provided by Club Helpers. It is important that AV recognises these contributions and today I am pleased to launch this program that can generate financial reward to AV Clubs” said Cunningham.

Commencing this week at the State All Schools Track & Field Championships at Lakeside Stadium, Clubs that have been allocated duty will receive ‘AV points’ for the successful completion of club duty. AV points can then be converted to ‘dollars’ and used by Clubs towards the cost of annual club affiliation fees or towards club event entry fees.

“All AV Clubs have been allocated club duty for AV Championships across this Summer season (16/17) and this incentive program will apply accordingly.” said Cunningham
