The 2020 Victorian ‘Steigen’ Country Track & Field Championships makes its way to Geelong over the Australia Day long weekend. There are events offered in all age groups from U14 up to 60+, as well as club and individual awards presented across the three-day competition.
The Australia Day long weekend is a celebration of athletics and one where athletes can compete and enjoy in the festivities that the Victorian country region has to offer.
Please make sure you plan in advance as accommodation is at a premium around the Country Championship weekend and make sure your entry is on time before the closing date.
For these Championships, both Metro and interstate athletes are welcome to enter and compete but will do so as invitational athletes.
Athletes must be a member of Athletics Victoria or their state/national association in order to compete at the AV Country Championship event. Any athletes that enter and do not meet this criteria will be asked to become a member of their state association otherwise they may not be able to compete.

Entries Close: 11:59am (Midday) Monday 13th January, 2020 – No late or on the day entries will be accepted.

Athletics Victoria will not accept any late entries, and emails received after the closing date will not be accepted.
Note: the featured timetable is a ‘DRAFT’ and for reference only. Due to the complexity of scheduling track and field events, once entries close a revised ‘PROVISIONAL TIMETABLE’ will be published which will provide an up to date schedule of events and timings. The ‘Provisional Timetable’ should be used over and above the ‘Draft’ version. Athletics Victoria will notify all entrants via email and social media of changes to the timetable before the event commences. It is the responsibility of athletes, parents and coaches to check the timetable online 24 hours before competition, if you are unsure of the most up to date timetable, please do not hesitate to contact Athletics Victoria on 03 86464500.

Entry fees will only be refunded if a cancellation is received in writing to email@example.com prior to entries closing. Any refunds after this time will be processed only if the written notification is accompanied with a medical certificate before the first day of competition.
