After a little break from Anglesea we’re back for the second last round of the XCR’17 season. And there’s no better way to jump back into things than with a half-marathon!
No doubt there’ll be plenty of fresh legs on Sunday which makes for a exilerating day of competition.
On-the-day entries are available for all those who are wanting to get some last minute km’s under their belt before the Melbourne Marathon.
As it stands Liam Adams (Athletics Essendon) is leading the Men’s Open Division by only five (5) points ahead of Andrew Buchanan (Bendigo). With Mitchel Brown (Athletics Essendon) and Nicholas Earl (Melbourne University) rounding out the top four but still within reach of claiming the individual title.
In the Women’s Open Division it’s Virginia Moloney (Collinwood Harriers) who has a healthy lead over Alexandra Paterson (Old Xaverians). As it stands Virginia is sitting on 49 points with Alexandra on 36. Karinna Fyfe (Glenhuntly) and Anna Kelly (South Melbourne) round out the top four, but look to be just out of reach of claiming the individual title.
