In case you missed it…

Victorian long distance superstar David McNeill took out the Hobart Run the Bridge for the second time in three years, with a record breaking time in the 10km course.

The Rio Olympian, who took out the same event in 2015 but missed last year due to injury, claimed victory with a record time of 28:57s.

A record 3163 athletes registered for this year’s event, which again included the Battle of the Sexes, where women were given a 4 minute 12 second head-start.

Young gun Mia Gross ran the 100/200 double in the ACT Open Women Division, breaking the state records of Ashley Whittaker and Tamsyn Lewis-Manou, and qualifying for the Commonwealth Youth Games.

An unbelievable effort in Canberra!
