Big V senior XC team announced

Athletics Victoria is pleased to announce the Big V senior team of 12 athletes and 4 emergencies for the Australian Cross Country Championships on Saturday 29 August at Moonee Valley Race Course in Melbourne.

Frankston athlete and 2015 world cross country representative Gemma Maini will captain the women’s team while 2014 Australian cross country medalist Nicholas Wightman will head up the men’s team.

In the women’s ranks Sarah Waters and Alexandra Paterson will make their senior debuts at a national cross country championship. For the men, Box Hill’s William Potter and Eureka athlete Stewart McSweyn will make their first senior Victorian cross country team.
