All focus turns to Adelaide as 170 of Victoria’s best school athletes are set to compete at the Australian All Schools Track & Field Championships from Friday 5 to Sunday 7.
Kicking off the Big V’s campaign today will be thrower James Joycey in the men under 16 hammer at 4:30pm local time.
On the track the Big V will be well represented in the 400m with Ryan McNamara, Lawson Power, Liam Procaccino, Sarah Billings, Jesse Bonnici and Hilary McAdam all in action on day one.
In the middle distance events Jaryd Clifford (T12) will be a strong chance in the men under 16 800m along side Liam Richardson (T35).
This competition also provides those athletes born in 1998 and 1999 the opportunity to qualify for the World Youth Championships in Cali, Colombia from 15-19 July 2015.
